Council Bluffs, once known as Kanesville was the historic start of the Mormon Trail is on the western Iowan border banking the Missouri River. With delicious cuisine, celebrated shopping malls, Horseshoe Casino, RailsWest Railroad Museum, festivals and so much more, Council Bluffs is an interesting place to hold any special event. It is home to a variety of hotels and transportation options as well as The Ameristar Casino Hotel and is next door to the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha. With so many things to do, Council Bluffs is a great place to visit.
