Burlington, near the southeastern tip of Iowa is home to Snake Alley, the crookedest alley in the world. In its height, Burlington was a thriving river center in the Steamboat era and home to the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad. The many state and county parks make beautiful spaces for outdoor weddings and events, including Howard Park, Lake Darling State Park, Forest Park, Woodthrush Woods State Preserve, Lacey Keosauqua State Park, Jefferson County Park and Southwood Park.
Mt. Pleasant is home to Iowa Wesleyan College, a private four-year liberal arts college and the Harlan-Lincoln House. In addition to nearby county and state parks, Mt. Pleasant is a beautiful place to hold your special event.
